This year has been a significant milestone. Despite a challenging start including the unfortunate incident of our caravan being damaged en route to the AGM, we have been able to plan and execute a successful 50th Anniversary celebration. ​The committee's efforts culminated in a fantastic Anniversary weekend at Dulhorn Farm Rally Field. The weather was amazing, the entertainment was exceptional and the committee's catering was perfect. The presence of the CAMC chairman David Turner and his wife Jan was a highlight of the event for me!

​While the turnout at the Avon Centre 50th Anniversary was disappointing, the attendees enjoyed themselves and we received numerous compliments, including from Mr Turner.

​

We have been fortunate with the weather this year, with an abundance of sunshine. Several new venues were advertised this year, however the economic climate has impacted attendance at the rallies throughout the year. These events depend on the dedication and hard work of our rally officer. I would like to express my gratitude to all new and old rally officer who have volunteered.

​

I would like to give a massive Thank you! to the entire committee, rally officers and Avon Centre members for the continued, amazing commitment. We are one of the leading centres who manage to run lots of exciting rallies which offer lots of variety such as, skittles, beaches, competitions, quizzes, get togethers, and quiet and chilled times, so if anyone finds a great little place they would enjoy to rally please let a committee member know.

I would also like to thank my wife Sue for her invaluable support throughout my first year as chairman.

​

Finally, this year we have raised £6100 for our charity 'St Peters Hospice' I would like to express my sincere gratitude to everyone for their contributions and support in raising such a substantial amount. I'm sure they'll be totally overjoyed.

As chairman, the only thing i find a little annoying is being awakened at 9am on a Sunday morning by a few enthusiastic rally officers
