We are thrilled to announce Nigel Kent as the new chairman of the Avon Centre. Nigel takes on this prestigious role with great enthusiasm, calling it an “honour” to work with the committee to drive the centre forward, particularly in its ambition to encourage more people to join our events/breaks.

​I want to start by thanking John Davies and the entire committee for their dedicated service over the past year. Their hard work has laid a fantastic foundation for our centre.

 

I am truly honoured and excited to step into the role of chairman especially in this our 50th Anniversary year in 2026. Having been a member for 15 years and vice chairman last year, I know what a special community we have, and I'm looking forward to leading us into the next chapter. I would also like to introduce Craig Wells, our new Vice Chair, who will be supporting us, particularly with his webmaster duties.

A centre is nothing without its members, and I want you to know that your voice is important. I am always open to fresh ideas and feedback. Please don't hesitate to contact me or any of the committee members. We are always looking for volunteers for everything from running rallies/breaks to organizing social events. If you have a few hours to spare, please let me or a committee member know. I am excited for a successful and enjoyable season ahead. Together, we are a family, and with your help, we will make the Avon Centre of the Caravan & Motorhome Club an even better community to be part of.
